Show scripture reference in tab name?
Hello,
Is it possible to change the tabs to show the Scripture reference instead of the name of the translation?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Welcome to the forums. No, the contents of the tab are not customizable.

I can understand your request if you want to distinguish two tabs with the same bible, but an overall solution would be required to avoid confusion e.g. tabs to show both name and reference as an option. Make a suggestion at https://feedback.logos.com/boards/logos-desktop-app (I did not find an existing request).

Dave's idea about tabs seems reasonable where the tab has both name and reference.... but tabs would certainly be wider and take up more space.... In a layout where one has multiple books and such seems to me that would still shorten the tabs to only book/name reference....

Personally, I'd like an option to show just the reference in the tab name. The translation name isn't important to me (because I'm usually just considering what one translation says about the various passage on a topic and then comparing the passages to each other).
It seems that including the translation name would take up too much space on the tab. For me it wouldn't be helpful because I have a preferred translation that I use for general study. And I just noticed that translations have different icons in the tabs.
When I want to compare how translations translate a particular verse or passage, I use the text comparison feature.
To be clear, I'm talking about an option that would automatically set/update the reference in the tab name.

Seems like a great idea (an option). Agree, translation and ref would obviate solving the problem (when a series of tabs; not just 2 or 3).
Even with linked resources, it still has value. On several of my layouts, I have to remember who covers what (OT vs NT vs both, apocrypha, etc).
Although, I don't remember if the system updates background tabs, until you select them.
