Key Information in Bible Book Studies

I am wondering if there is a resource which lists the key or essential information for each book of the Bible. By this what I mean is, what are the important points that you will want to remember from the study of a book of the Bible? Suppose I am studying the Book of Genesis - I will want to remember (memorize) a short outline of the book. I will also want to remember what God created on each of the days of creation. I would also want to remember certain details in the lives of the patriarchs and certainly the names of the 12 tribes of Israel. There are probably some other things that I may want to remember in this study. Then I would want to memorize key bible verses so a list of the most important verses would be helpful. Is there a resource in Logos that would contain this type of information?

A starting place would be the introduction information in a study bible or something like an Introduction to the OT/NT. However, I don't think that this will give you everything you want.

Thanks Ronald. I have thought about this for some time too. I am putting together a series of studies on the history and geography of the Old Testament. I have the resource you have suggested in my library. I will check out some study bibles as well. That is a good suggestion.

If you don't have it, "Thompsons Chain Reference Bible" is a great place to get the kind of information you seem to be looking for. It does take a bit of learning the Indexing system in the TCRB, but it's been worth it to me. I been using Thompsons for a long long time.

And as MJ suggested, the Bible Book Explorer is a great help along with The Outline Bible.
