Highlighting not working
It seems that highlighting isn't working whether I use my shortcut key or highlight button.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you checked in the Notes Tool to see if the highlight is actually being created?

I haven't - sorry but how would I even do that?
You can open the Notes Tool from the Tools icon in the toolbar
Then, assuming the Notes Tool, is set to display notes / highlights sorted by when they were last modified, you should see your most recent highlights at the top
Creating a highlight will make a new entry in the Notes Tool whether or not they are displayed in the resource you are highlighting (although they should be displayed there as well).
I'm just trying to find out which part of the process is not working correctly - hopefully this step will help.

Hi Anthony,
Are the available highlight styles not displaying in the selection menu after you select text? Can you take a screenshot of the menu and post it?

The menu does come up but I'm not able to capture it with a screenshot.
I do hit the highlight I want, yet nothing happens.

I have a somewhat similar problem- highlighting works on my bibles but not my resources. I've gone through the settings but I can figure out what might be causing it.
Thanks.

THanks for responding.
I failed to state it explicitly, but I have tried to do everything written above that I can understand. There are lots of options under visual filters, however, and it wasn't clear to me which was in view. Highlighting worked for my bible, and it wasn't obvious if any of the options were for the universe of Bibles vs all other resources.
In resources, the popup comes up and I select a highlight- just like for a Bible. But here's no change in color over the selection. When I remove the selection, no highlight persists.
The kicker: it's now working. I didn't change any settings between now and the time I tried it last yesterday. The only thought I have is that when I searched the visual filter settings I changed something that did make it work- except it certainly didn't take effect immediately. And I didn't change anything I thought should make a difference.
The only thing more frustrating than a feature that doesn't work, is one that appears to work intermittently.
Side note: I have some concerns I'm pushing Logos in terms of the complexity of the windows I have open. I have multiple logos windows open, with many tiles and 20 or 30 panels. Yes, it's weird for most people but it's the way my head works. So I don't know if Logos isn't coping with it well. While it's gotten much better, Logos has struggled with my layouts, and when it starts, the opening layout/window I sometimes get includes a bizarrely huge window that span multiple monitors. Yes, I've spoken with Logos with it and there was no quick result, and as I said, it's been getting better, good enough to live with, but still not all better. Yes, I know that's in slightly different territory than this highlighting issue, but I'm concerned I'm stressing the program's resources in some way. Yes, I have well spec'ed hardware.

Try a simplified layout with fewer windows and panels to see if the highlighting problem is more consistent.
