I've got way too many commentaries and wanted to focus on identifying about 10 top commentaries for each book of the Bible. The idea is that these will be the first place I'll go to for help when needed. If I am not getting what I am looking for, then I'll try the other commentaries
- I identified the Top commentaries on a given book of the Bible using 4 resources: 3 books that survey commentaries and give recommendations (by Nijay Gupta, Robert Yost, and Craig Evans) and BestCommentaries.com.
- Having identified the list, I make a Collection out of these Top commentaries so that this list shows up in Parallel Resource. This brings me to my First problem: The default names that show up makes it difficult to identify the book easily. Yes, the book icon should help me identify the series but I can only identify a few top series. So I ended up renaming each book by using the Information button. I gave the name: Series Acronym - Last Name of Author. Thus, for Habakkuk, I renamed the NICOT book as "NICOT - Robertson". Is there an alternative title available that is much clearer than the default so I don't have to rename each book? OR is there a better way of renaming instead of using the Information button one by one for each book?
- In order for the books in Parallel Resources to show up in an order that I care about, I need to Prioritize these Top commentaries. This brings to my Second problem: When I identify the book and drag into the Prioritize Resources section, the whole Series gets prioritized. To prioritize just the Habakkuk commentary in the NICOT series, I have to right click and then pick "Prioritize this book". Is there a way to drag just a given book in the series without having to go thro' 2 extra clicks?
Alternatively, if there is a simpler way to accomplish what I want without going through all the above steps, please let me know. Always appreciate the magnanimous help from Forum members.
Thank you.
