BUG: Repeated corruption of Lexham Bible Dictionary index resulting in erroneous article citation er

I have been using this resource heavily and have a reoccurring issue with the article citation getting off by one. The first time I reported this, you advised reindexing which resolved the issue. The second time, reindexing fixed it; the third time reindexing did not fix it . . . think of this as an issue that is occurring once every few days. The laptop is rather new, the issue is limited to this resource and this application, how do I help you track this down as it is a bug that disrupts the workflow significantly?

I'm not sure who told you this (I really hope it wasn't me), but reindexing has nothing to do with what is going on here. You can trivially recreate the issue by clicking in a different article than the one currently visible at the top of the panel. The Information pane displays the citation for the article at the top of the panel, while the navigation box displays the article where clicked.

It's possible that this is intentional, given that once within the information pane there is no visibility as to exactly what has been selected, but I can see how it is confusing and unhelpful.

I'll write up a case for it, but I'm unable to say whether or not it'll be viewed as a bug.

I just tested and this is also true when one uses the panel menu copy URL function. Ouch! in terms of the number of resources I've put bad links into. But I definitely think your answer has more explanatory merit than the previous one.

That doesn't surprise me. Historically, there has been one "navigation location", and it's only a visual override in the navigation box that shows the location at which you've clicked. Generally speaking, it's the top of the panel that matters for actual location. Panel linking works like this too, and probably for good reason (you usually wouldn't want to navigate other panels just because you clicked or selected other text, for instance, in a Bible).
