Hi
With Herod in Acts 12:1
Bug: Do not know how to report typo for this - so posting here
I think that will be understood, but use "Data error" as "Bug" is software related.
Dave,
Thanks ... updated subject line[:)]
The information panel is doing a headword search. It's not doing any searching based on Biblical People data.
To clarify, the information panel takes the word you have clicked on and attempts to find articles that match that word as closely as possible. It is expected that this will not always provide 100% accurate results, but it should often do well. It will also do its work even if you are in a non-Biblical resource that doesn't contain any special tagging. If you want to use the special data that has been tagged in the Bible about who that person is, then you will want to use the right click menu to Look Up a resource containing the article about that specific person.
Kyle + Andrew,
Thanks for the reply, understand the situation now.
However, I was doing a demo to a new Logos user, it is kind of difficult situation I got into when I was trying to explain the power of Logos.
Rather than randomly pick up the wrong Herod (your logic should have some basis), would it be possible to consider to instead favor the use
Thanks for considering.

You don't quite understand. The system is looking up the word "Herod" in the Bible dictionaries in the priority order you set (or system default). Different users have different dictionaries which they prioritize differently. You don't want Logos using different rules for different words or overriding your own choice of dictionaries. The results are not random - they are entirely predictable and under your control - and exactly the same as you found find if you used a hard-copy of the dictionary.
MJ,
Thanks for your explanation ... after I re-read the posts, I understand it better what Kyle & Andrew said; I am also partly responsible because I prioritised LBD as my top Bible Dictionary[:)]
Thanks.
