Logos 27.2 will not open
I updated today and now Logos will not open even if I hit the ctrl key while loading. It loads to the splash screen and says preparing books and the vanishes. I saw a previous user had the same problem but it loaded for him when he held down the ctrl key. I tried that and it loaded once but now will not load.

Unfortunately, we probably will need additional details. Please provide logs (see my signature line). Out of curiosity: You aren't running Mac Beta are you?

I am using Windows 10, no Mac.
One problem was that when I tried to run Logos holding down the ctrl key it would not load. Well I guess I was not holding the key long enough. I just got Logos to load after holding the key till it loaded.
Using the instructions on your forum I made a copy of the log files.

We will have to wait for a full fledge techie to pop in. Your logs should be helpful. I did notice this warning:
WARN 1 ElementUtility | Unable to set focus to default focus: PasswordBox (UserPasswordBox)
I have seen this a few times recently... don't know if it is important or not.

Nothing worked.. Updated Windows .Net. still it will not work. I am afraid to start from scratch and reformat the drive. Will I loose all my personal Books?

...and then what happened? What happens after you load to a blank layout?

It loads to a blank layout and then I can load a previous layout.

At this point, then, you should continue to do so and wait for it to resolve or receive direction from Logos.

Just a thought Steve, if you haven't tried this - layouts do sometimes get corrupted, have you tried re-creating the layout from scratch (open to blank, bring up the panels in that layout one by one, and then when complete save the layout with a new name), and try opening to that layout?

No doubt there will be Devin. Your travails, I'm sure you know, are to be expected when running Betas. Logos seems to be particularly vulnerable probably because it does not conform to many platform specific protocols.
