Logos 27.0 CPU issues
I am having trouble with Logos overrunning my PC. Logos 27.0 averages 3.9% CPU. It has 1 resource displayed plus a commentary. After 2 mins the CPU drops is at 1.5% The fan runs and my PC slows down. Now this is with a word document open and my Google browser. After closing the Logos app, the laptop returned to normal temperature and fan operation. I am running Windows 10.

I've noticed that with the newer logo versions, it syncs more often and updates the index. At the end of indexing, CPU power also ramps up for me, but then returns to normal shortly thereafter. Or does the fan ramp up remain after that for the entire runtime of Logos?

What are the specs of your computer i.e. make/model, CPU, RAM, Disk (SSD or HDD?). How much free space on disk?

Does this mean that the problem returns when you start using Logos?

The CPU and RAM are adequate, but the 4.47 GB free space is probably throttling the Hybrid drive where you need about 20% free space i.e. 205 GB or more. Your apps are stored on a HDD, which is quite slow, whilst the SSD part is only a cache to speed access to RAM.

- Empty the Recycle Bin
- Go to (Windows) Settings > System > Storage:
- Cleanup Recommendations
- Advanced Storage Settings
- Help with Storage i.e. fixing low disk space and using Disk Cleanup
- Storage Sense ---> to automatically delete temporary files
