Highlights Missing Android
I'm having an intermittent problem with highlights not appearing in the Android version. Most of the time they're there, but sometimes they're not. It's not an issue of waiting for them to load or sync - it's occurred even when I've had the app open for several hours on my phone. I'm running 27.0.1, which appears to be the newest version at this point. Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra only a few months old with ample storage. And I've tried closing and reopening then app, even force stopping - nothing helps. Next time I use the app, the highlights may be there.
It's a problem, because I may want to add a highlight in the mobile app if it isn't already there. But I can't be sure.

Hi Kathy. Next time you experience this issue, could you take a screenshot of the issue and send logs? After taking the screenshot, open the Help menu and tap "Report a Problem" then attach the screenshot to the email so we can take a further look. Thank you for your patience!

Ah, I thought you might ask, so I was prepared! [:)] I'll email them.

Ali--you asked me to send screenshots via email, and I think I did. Since they were sent using the software interface, though, I can't confirm that they were sent correctly. Can you confirm they were received? Need any more info from me?

I have the same problem of no highlights. I also am unable to highlight selected text. It all worked well in the previous version of the app I was using.
I am looking forward to a solution to this matter.
Thanks

I should add that the selecting of a sentence works fine and then the "pallet" of highlights also appears, but when one is selected, nothing happens to the text that had been selected.

This sounds like you have "show notes/highlights" turned off. This is a setting under the "view settings" menu (Aa icon).

Thanks, JT! Turning that on fixed the problem. I assume that it was turned off by default, which seems odd.

JT - I'm glad that fixed it for Henry, but it's not my problem. I have them turned on and use them all the time. But sometimes they're there and sometimes they aren't. 🤔

Well no, it isn't set to off by default. It would have either been something you did by accident <or> some glitch/bug.
