How can I remove books in my library on my tablet that are not in my library on my desktop app or we
There are several books listed in my library on my tablet that are not in my library on my desktop app or web app.
- Why are they there - I did not order them?
- How can I remove them from my library on my tablet?
Each of these books have the following statement in their "About this book" panel on my tablet:
- "This book is only available online because it is not part of your Logos Bible Software library. Learn more at Logos.com."
Examples:
- Alive to Wonder: Celebrating the Influence of C. S. Lewis by John Piper
- The Covenant (Abram's Daughters Book #1) by Beverly Lewis

Hi Carol, welcome to the forums.
Faithlife includes a number of "free" books for the mobile app. They are all usable only when online and they do not show up in the library outside the mobile app. I am sorry, but you can't remove them from the library on the mobile app (although you don't have to download them).

This is a problem for me as well. I just bought Logos 10 and am trying out the mobile app. I came across some misleading information (I think while doing a Factbook search, but I can't remember for sure) and then tried to delete the resource providing the questionable info. I thought I was able to remove the book, but it does not show up on my desktop app under "Hidden Books". I went back to my mobile app and found the book in question still in my library.
So if a book isn't in my desktop library, how can I manage it in my mobile app? I'm trying to remove two books:

Hi Sean - and welcome to the forums

I'm afraid that, as per Levi's post above, it is not possible to manage / hide these books (ones that we don't own) in the mobile app.

FL has always been an in-your-face kind of company. Slurp up your highlights and notes without permission. Force their kind of books into your library gratuitously.
It's like someone else's pastor moving into your house, kindly stacking his books amonst yours. Reading your notes with a grimace. Surely, you don't mind?

Thank you for your response. That's disappointing news. I guess I have one more reason not to use Factbook. I already disabled the Factbook links and tags in the desktop app. If I don't use it in the mobile app either, I should be able to avoid pulling data from unwanted books.

I‘m intrigued.
Do you happen to remember what you were looking up in Factbook that included those books in your results - and which section did they appear in?
I couldn’t reproduce that with a simple test.

I don't recall specifically. I was watching the training video that was pinned in the Explore section. Toward the end of the video, they explained Factbook. I did a search for Ephesians or maybe Ephesians 4. I haven't been able to reproduce the results, either, but figured that was because I removed the books. Or at least I thought I removed the books at the time. There was a "Remove" link which I haven't been able to find again.

Clicking on a book and then clicking "info" pulls up the option to "remove resource". I clicked that multiple times on the books in question. Maybe that's why I can't repeat the initial search. I went back in my history and looked. I don't see the sea rch that took me to that particular book.

That tells the app to remove the book from local storage but not from the library - so it doesn't affect whether it appears in search results etc

Fair enough - thanks for checking.
