Logos gets slower and ssslllloooowwwweeeerrr
I use Logos on Samsung Galaxy tab S6 Lite running Android 13 and on One+ 8T also running Android 13. As the Logos app updates to newer versions, the program gets slower and slower. Currently adding highlighting to a Bible can take 10-20 seconds. The scrolling (all resources are downloaded into the device) is also getting slower.
Have a great day,

Same here. I've used the app for years and get so much out of it, but it's getting so slow, buggy and crashy that occasionally I have to give up - on my Moto Edge 20 pro (Android 13), but also on anything else Android I try it on.

Samsung A7 tablet has been slow as well. Sometimes upwards of 20 seconds for a single highlight to catch before I can scroll and keep reading. The tablet is less than two years old.

It has become slower on my iPhone as well. It is like it is glitching. I do not have a high speed connection. The iPhone app is sluggish. I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions for how I might speed up things. If I've downloaded the majority of the resources to the device, I'm presuming my internet connection speed is unimportant.

That is not recommended.

Which specific device? How much storage? How much is free?

What I'm doing now is taking notes using Google docs while in Church or Bible study and then later pasting them into a proper Logos note on the desktop app. The Android app is quite useless for live note taking.

[Y] This is my experience too. The app freezes multiple times per day.

I have sent many logs to logos and the issues have not been resolved. Currently, the app is crashing/hanging when downloading or updating resources due to memory issues. This has been happening for a while and it seems that logos is ignoring the issue or do not know how to fix it. This is another indication on why the app becomes slower and slower.

We've looked into the issues associated with your account and have created a case to fix it. The case is in queue. I will reach out when there is an update on the case. Thank you for your patience, Diederick.

I just ran across this thread. Just submitted (Sept 28) my logs on a brand new Kindle Fire Mini.

I have sent many logs the past few weeks; it seems they do not get actioned. Some first level support reviews it and decide if it is of any use.

While an update can be rather quickly written and released on the desktop channel, mobil apps take more time to distribute a fix because the app is required to go through the various app stores. When my submission was acknowledged by the tech team I choose to believe the best--that they are working on improvements that avoid unintended secondary issues.

Here is my solution to speed up Logos on an iOS (Apple iPad) tablet.
NIV on the tablet is sl-o-ow. LEB appears to be optimized for speed.
Here are steps to see an English, Greek, and Hebrew Bible on your tablet. Feel free to modify them to suit your needs and preferences.

Great. I'm waiting for the mail to deliver my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6-lite from Ebay. I should have checked this thread first. At least I know not to load too much to my tablet. I guess I will read and delete, lol.
