I keep hoping that one of these days a new update of the mobile app will allow me to use it to search for Bible verses, but nope. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I have so many books in my library (nearly 30,000 on desktop, plus many thousands hidden; no idea how many of these are accessible on my mobile app since it's still hung right now trying to do a search).

Even a search for a single word in Top Bible with Range = "All Passages" never completes. I give up after several minutes of the spinning progress circle. I'm doing one right now, and it's been 8 minutes and counting. Ugh! [EDIT: It's up to 15 minutes now. Killing it.]

Is there any way to troubleshoot why this is taking so long for me (or perhaps why it won't ever complete)? I'm not much of a mobile Logos app user (for obvious reasons). I know how to get log files for the desktop app but not for this. Couldn't find anything about diagnostic logging for mobile on the wiki.

I'm running the latest version of the Android app.

    Assuming that your Android device has sufficient hardware ... processing speed and memory mostly ...
    (if its an old device with limited memory it sure wouldn't hurt to upgrade).

    How is your internet connection? It might be getting results from a server somewhere (I don't know for sure how it works)

    Other than that I can't help (others might be android experts) ... other than to say, as you probably already know ... you can always use the Logos web app from the phone [:)]

    OK, I seem to have fixed it. I closed the 4 tabs that I had open in the app, shut down the app, and restarted it, and it works now. Was that the problem all along? I don't remember if I've ever closed ALL tabs down to none open ever before in the mobile app.

    Rosie, I just tried a search for "love" in Top Bible with 4 other tabs open on an iPhone 14, and the display was finished within 2 seconds with the stopwatch. Either something was awry, as you might have fixed, or its old hardware/minimal memory, something...

    Don, see my follow-up comment. I fixed it. Will change the subject to reflect that.
