Is it possible to set the "show page number" setting for all books without having to do it book by book?

Kind of doubt it.  Meaning, there's no option choice, no right-click>all, etc.   A default would be unexpectly surprising for FL designs.

But the whole pages vs milestones is pretty useless (Logos apologists will like it).  On my Encyclopedia of Ancient Christianity, it reflects whichever I choose (the problem you wish to not have to do, for every book).  But on my Jewish Encyclopedia, it bounces back and forth ... page, header, page, header.  Have to scroll back and forth to see where it is.

    Not good software design.

Sure. From the Visual Filter menu, go to the respective setting and then on the right side is the menu to apply it to all "appropriate" books i.e. all that have a page index.

    Sure.

Didn't work.  Ignores the setting, even if directly set.   Resource specific?

Disaster struck.  I didn't choose the Show in All choice.  Only for my Jewish Enclyclopedia.  Unfortunately my Encycl of Ancient Christianity is stuck on page numbers now.  Great.

I think you are talking about seeing page numbers in the navigation box, while NB.Mick is talking about seeing the page numbers embedded in the actual text of the resource using a visual filter.

To switch what shows up in the navigation box, just click in the box, and a popup will show a list of other valid milestones at the current location. Selecting one that is not the page number will cause it to start showing that type of value instead.

Thank you ... going back to Libronix, it was more dependable (a button to select the index, not to forget a table of resources vs indices as well).  Now, it bounces back and forth, regardless of selection.  I assume it's tracking milestones back and forth. The Locateor Bar is considerably more dependable but uses up vertical space.

    So it goes.

If the currently location only has a milestone of one type, then it's going to swap over so it can display something in the box, but I believe it should go back to whatever type you had manually selected as soon as a milestone of that type is available.
