Voicing my opinion and hope that FL will find the intergrity to pause the usual cycle and focus MUCH NEEDED time and attention to maximizing the working links in Logos. There is hardly an hour-long session that passes where I don't encounter one or more dead links to resources THAT ARE ALREADY IN LOGOS. I would gladly trade L10-15 for having working links.

It is not one or another. Both need to happen, and only one of them can help them pay the bill. So I would love to see that developing next version to pay the bill so that they can fix other things that no one would care about unless they aren't working. Maintenance is hard, and unless we the consumers start to pay just for maintenance, that's how to fund it unfortunately.
I'm thinking they need to reference This is Spinal Tap with Nigel Tufnel saying "This goes to 11." 😉

No man knows the day or hour. I suppose it will be done when its done, and likely not before, or after. Hopefully 11 is as good or better than what we got with 10.
I thought there was not going to be a Logos 11 software update. We are on Logos 27 now. The only reason for a step up in number from 10 would be for new base package libraries. So we're not waiting for a big new rollout of new features. Am I misunderstanding something about the new numbering scheme?

There is now a divorce between the naming schemas for the SOFTWARE (currently Logos Engine build 27) and for the LIBRARIES and FEATURES (currently "Logos 10"). There is no reason to think there won't be a "Logos 11," but Logos could certainly change their mind. In any case, there is every reason to think there will be a new release (as there is every 2 years). Again, we are talking about the LIBRARIES and FEATURES.

I guess since they promised the the software would always be free, that model eventually broke down for them and they had to start charging for the features. Fair enough. I'd just forgotten that the numbering scheme of the software (which I knew was separate from the base packages) didn't include any new features. It's just little tweaks.
Without resurrecting the old debate of whether Logos is expensive or not, the challenge with this dichotomy of software and features is that it can lead a new customer to increasing sticker shock, as the costs mount up to meet an expectation of having a fully functional piece of Bible software for a budgeted price point which seems to have no limit.
Not only this, but studying and learning all the options can start to look like one is buying a new car from a dealer. Does this come with A/C? What about power brakes? Oh yeah, you can get a bigger fuel tank too. When weighing up features, datasets, libraries, church traditions, etc. its not too far off from this at times.
While there are some calls for simplifying the UI, I wonder if simplifying the sales model might be worth considering. I really thought the Logos Now model (a.k.a Faithlife Connect) had some potential. Pay an annual fee and you are kept up to date, and it used to be we got early access to new features.

I know one can't take analogies too far, but bear with me on this. When you buy a car, that isn't the end of your expenses in running it. You have to buy gas and pay for regular maintenance. And no car lasts forever, even with the best care. Eventually you will have to buy a new one. You don't always have to upgrade to the latest model, but at some point the old one will start having enough annoyances that you'll decide to take the plunge. I'm almost at that point with my 2005 Mazda. It still runs great, but every time a rent a car, I get spoiled by all the basic features that cars have these days which I don't have in my Mazda: backup cameras, radios that tell you the station that's playing and even what song is playing, folding side mirrors, lights that turn off automatically if you forget to turn them off, keyless ignition, etc.
So it is with major software. You can probably live without the new features for a while, but then when you see how everyone is benefiting from the new whiz bang AI search (or some such), or you realize the "fuel efficiency" (performance) of your old version isn't as good as the new one, you might decide it's time to upgrade.
But I will consider a medium priced car that will fit into my budget....

As far as the expense of Logos software, The entry level cost is not really huge when compared to competing products. It is when you decide that you need a huge library of expensive resources that the numbers add up ... and that is also true with its main competitors.

There was a time, I'd have disagreed, as an over-generalization. My Accordance library was purchased at a pittance (at the time).
But just checking on common 'academic' titles, I notice either Logos is spec'ing theirs below Accordance, or Accordance has been quietly moving its price points up. In any event, ignoring sales, my limited sample had to give Logos uniformly the thumbs-up.
Granted there's still coverage in Accordance, that Logos hasn't picked up.

I don't have a frame of reference for that, as I never tried Accordance until a couple years after Bibleworks closed down. But it seems obvious that Accordance has better sales with lower prices. But only on certain items. And you are not always comparing apples to apples, because many times, Accordance is way behind on updates. Many times you are getting incomplete sets in those sales, where Logos has additional volumes.
Accordance and Logos both are offering free or very cheap starter/beginner packages, so the entry level is about the same.
I have invested a lot in both, and hope for both to be around long term. But Logos appears to be better situated for future success, with a vast library of available titles and a cross platform strategy that is working on today's more powerful hardware. The iOS app is great. I have not tried the Android app, but they do have one. Last I knew, Accordance android app has not been updated in a very long time, and isn't even in the app store anymore.
Logos also has a fantastic web app that really works. (Yes I know it lacks some functionality compared to the desktop, nobody needs to tell me that) [:)]

It is the Library that costs a bunch (which, I think is still less than the print versions). And that is to be expected, isn't it? You could avoid the cost by going to your local library to do the research. Or, you could do the research sitting in the comfort of your bedroom in your laptop by having a big Logos library. Convenience has a cost.

But I don't want to miss L11 as I assume that there will be lots of AI in this upcoming release which will finally make the search function more usable for those who are not experts in Logos' search language.

Old terminology was resources; Logos switched to books ... human brains are still in various levels of retraining.
You purchase features which perform functions.

Roots, yes. It's been all downhill after the Logos company bought out the Libronix company. Having to learn 'BUG: yada, yada, yada.' Trying to figure out Logos 10 vs 29. Functions (ooops) that I might own. Or maybe I don't ... who's to know for sure?? And then, indices ... somewhere in there, tightly guarded as to which 'resource' has which 'index'.

Yeah I'm pretty advanced in logos however I haven't used it much since logos 10 came out. Kinda had a rough patch, getting a new laptop today and can't wait to dive in!

I bet if Faithlife allowed certain power users the ability to self-correct links, this could be a great way to manage current dead links while enabling staff to focus on new releases. I for one would be glad to add links as I encounter issues - a number of "typos" I have reported are bad links. A periodic coupon or special discount on new packages would be a great incentive! [:D]
That's actually a good idea. I for one would spend a few hours a day going through dead links for them coupons !
