Introduction and some questions
Hi,
My name is Alex and I am new to the Logos web app, but but not new to Logos. I have been using it for about a year now and I know God was leading me to give up the Mac (because of the values of these companies), so I did and made the jump to Linux. So far, I am really enjoying Linux and the ideas of the open source community. I attempted to get Logos running with Crossover (what Logos has listed in a forum), but it didn't work. I also tried Bottles the open-source program, and it felt like it was going to run, and there was a help article for the silent crashes I was experiencing, but my knowledge and skill set in Linux didn't allow for that right now, so I am content with the web app. Which brings me to a few questions I have. Can I do a reading plan in the web app? I seen that is was a feature in the Starter Package which I purchased for that reason, but still don't see it. Also, for some reason the Key Passage section in the Fact Book is showing up in Spanish. Which is a problem because I can't read Spanish. Is there a way I can prioritize a different Bible? Or hide that Spanish Bible so it doesn't show up?

Can I do a reading plan in the web app?
I don't believe we can create our own reading plans in the web app. We can select Logos-defined ones (from the homepage) but I don't think that is what you are looking for.
Also, for some reason the Key Passage section in the Fact Book is showing up in Spanish. Which is a problem because I can't read Spanish. Is there a way I can prioritize a different Bible?
As you suggest this sounds like a prioritization issue.
On the web app you can set your preferred Bible by opening the panel menu on the right and clicking Set as preferred Bible

Thanks for the help and the quick response. I checked the preferred Bible option and an English ESV is set an my preferred Bible. I check it again and it is still showing up in Spanish in that one section.

What Factbook article are you looking at?
Can you post a screenshot showing this (use the paperclip icon in the forum editor)?

I am content with the web app
The web app is very impressive if the limitations don't bother you.
Linux can do almost anything, but you have to spend a lot of time learning. None of it is user friendly.
I'm Comptia certified (Linux+) but it was a very long time ago and I have not kept up with the changes for many years.
If you are determined to stick with Linux, you might want to look for a distro that can run Android apps.
Then theoretically at least you could run the Logos mobile app alongside the webapp.
But don't ask me for help, I'm spending all my time lately learning Logos and MacOS [8-|]
Have you seen this Linux version of Logos Bible Software?
I know absolutely nothing about this except that it runs on Linux ... have you tried BibleAnalyzer? If you do report back how it works.

Apologies for the delayed response. I am still having some problems with the Key Passage and the Referred to as sections. Here is a screen shot. Some is in English and the other stuff looks like Portuguese or Spanish.

Could you also click one of the biblical links which will open the corresponding Bible.
Then please upload another screenshot showing that - hopefully that will at least identity which Bible it is.

I've been following along. In my try using factbook/web, I got an OT version for OT verses (OP's example), and greek in the NT section. So, I opened NABre, and clicked the Set Preferred Bible.
Then, I tried factbook again. Nothing happened ... still greek NT.
On my desktop, I did have Byz-Greek prioritized. But factbook seems to ignore priotitizing setting on the web side?
And there's no clue which version it's using, of course.

It is opening up an ARA Bible. Is there a way I can change that in settings? Because I am also trying to use the Bible Event Navigator and it is having the same issue.

Are you sure it isn't set as your preferred Bible in the web app?
This is set from the panel menu
If preferred, that line in the menu will be blanked out
It's the only thing I can think of that could cause what you are describing.
