BUG: Error in title yields big waste of my time

I was using the experimental search to find resources. It did well and brought up a useful reference I wanted to generate a reference for. That function is not available on the web app so I went to find the resource in the desktop app. Unfortunately, the web shows the wrong title making it difficult to find the resource. Come on ... the title doesn't agree between the web and the desktop???

Edit: it appears that the error is intentional - that the web intended to add "about" in front of the title - the designer merely failed to distinguish it front the title ... a classic rookie mistake that I don't expect from Logos.

If you look up the info page of other books in your library, you'll find that the web app puts "About" in front of every book title - which will make identifying the correct title obvious for regular users of this page, but seems to be a poor design issue nevertheless (especially since they choose the same font, size and weight as the book title itself). If nothing else, it would be redundant and superfluous, but it definitely is confusing.

If this is a title you have edited on the desktop, that will be the issue. I rarely use the web app, but I can confirm that titles edited on the desktop are not reflected in the web app library, at least under ordinary use.

A similar phenomenon occurs on the mobile app whereby titles do appear in their desktop-edited form, but are sorted using the permanent internal title. I have assumed that there is some overriding technical issue causing this to be necessary.

I edit short titles but I NEVER edit the main title. What I want seared into my brain is the actual title as that is what I need to recognize in footnotes and bibliographies. I do see some clever systems of renaming that make Logos easier but that's not my primary need.

I edit the main title only when there is an error in the title (like they've left off the subtitle). I know it'll get fixed eventually, and by my fixing it myself I'll miss out on any future fixes, but sometimes I'm just not that patient.

Your observation may be correct, however, it doesn't relate to what MJ.Smith showed in her original post. If you go to any book's info page, you will see the "About " prefacing the title, i.e. the title XXX being shown on the resource tab, if space admits, and the bold title of the info pane showing "About XXX":

Thanks, and please excuse me. I don't see screenshots all that well and largely depend on narrative in posts, assuming screenshots to be supplemental to the issue when the verbiage seems complete. I will correct that assumption in the future, and reply, or not reply, accordingly.
