Hebrew pastes into Microsoft 365 Word in differing fonts for no apparent reason
This is pretty surely a MS Word/PC issue, but I wonder if anyone here has run into it and solved it.
When I paste Hebrew text using the Logos tool (Ctrl + Alt + B, Copy and Paste button), the Hebrew in some Word documents pastes as Arial (Body CS) 16 — which I do not want — and in other Word documents pastes as Times New Roman 16 — which I do want. For no apparent reason.
When I open a new unused doc, it pastes in Times New Roman. If I copy and paste contents of a Word doc that had been receiving in Arial into the new Times-New-Roman doc, the Hebrew now pastes in Arial.
I can't find any difference in Word setup. Paragraph's the same, font is the same. They're all .docx.
Has any of you encountered this? Any tips as to where to look to find and address the reason? Threads I find here are ~12 years old, unrelated -- except for my unanswered post from 4+ years ago.
Thanks for any help.

Have you checked that the style sheets of the two documents are the same?

I'm not sure what you mean. I saved the TNR's doc's style sheet, applied it in the Arial doc, and it made no difference. If that's not what you meant, more specificity would be helpful.

Assuming you are pasting as normal text - under Home tab Style section Normal style - are the definitions the same especially the defined font?

Yes, in either document, the Normal style font is Times New Roman.

are you pasting with preserve style or merge style? or if using the default paste, is the default the same in both cases?

Neither. As I said, "I paste Hebrew text using the Logos tool (Ctrl + Alt + B, Copy and Paste button)."

When it gets to the MS Word side, it uses the settings of Word. See the help article in Word titled "Control the formatting when you paste text"

Thank you. Tried all three settings, they had no impact on this issue.
For others, she appears to be referring to this article: https://bit.ly/3Pzu83X

Okay, you've exhausted my knowledge on the topic, Rosie might have additional insight.
