Hello,
When I copy a scripture from Logos into my sermon, it always inserts the type of Bible I am using at the end of the scripture reference. Like this:
Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV)
How can I get rid of the Bible version? (NKJV)
When I copy a scripture from Logos into my sermon
How are you copying it?
Are you typing in the reference and allowing Logos to fill in the text?
If so, you can remove the Bible identification by hovering over the imported block and clicking the Edit text icon on the right. You would then be able to remove it.

By using the tool "Copy Bible Verses" and using a style where you do not include the place holder for "version". For example something like
[quote]%NoRedLetter%NoFootnotes%NoCitation%NoCharFormatting%HeaderStyle=VerseRefBlue%ForEachVerseStyle=VerseTextBlue=Header<p>[FullPassageRef] </p>=ForEachVerse<sup>[VerseNum]</sup>[VerseText]=Footer
Result would look like this
[quote]
Isaiah 6:8
8Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Thanks Wolfgang,
This is almost perfect. If I can make it work correctly, this will probably be the perfect tool.
There is, however, one slight change that I need. When I select multiple verses, I would like each verse to be on a separate line, just like if you use the "Lines" function that I mentioned previously.
I did look at the various styles and there is one that does that (One verse per line). But the problem is, it puts a space between each verse. For my formatting purposes, I want each verse, one after the other, with a new verse on each line (no spaces)
Any ideas?

If you change the "For Each Verse" section in the style definition to
[quote]=ForEachVerse<p>[VerseNum] [VerseText]</p>
the result for example for 3 verses from Isaiah 6:8-10 would be:
Isaiah 6:8–10
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
9 He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.’
10 “Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed.”
Is this close to what you had in mind?
Thanks for trying, but unfortunately, it leaves a space after each line. Like this
Luke 6:36–38
36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
I am suspecting that it has to do with my style in Word. I have spacing after lines in my "Normal" style. But what I don't understand, is that if I right click the passage in my Bible, it brings up the menu that allows you to choose "Lines".
If I use "Lines", it comes out correctly, like this:
Luke 6:36–38 (NKJV)36Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. 37“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

You can alter that (for the document) from Paragraph Spacing in the Design menu of Word, as long as you use Destination styles when pasting.
As long as you keep Source formatting.
It seems that the "Lines" option in the right click copying simply adds a "line break" whereas the Copy Bible Verse tool only provides for "paragraph break" which then will use the paragraph style in Word (usually set to have line spacing to give some room between paragraphs.
You can set up a format style in Word in which you format paragraph spacing, fonts, etc. and add it to the normal.dot Once you have set up your Word format style, you can then utilize it in the CBV tool style definition to have your verses copied to Word automatically using that format style.

Thanks everyone for all the input, I appreciate the time.
I guess I have some pondering to do....
Hi Steve
here's a sample for using a Word format style "Vers" (which I formatted in Word) in a CBV style definition:
[quote]%NoCharFormatting%NoRedLetter%NoFootnotes%NoCitation%HeaderStyle = Vers%ForEachVerseStyle =Vers =Header<p>[FullPassageRef]</p>=ForEachVerse<p>[VerseNum] [VerseText]</p>=Footer
The result in my Word document using the copy and insert into Word document function in CBV looks like this:
The italic font, the indent, the no space after paragraph, etc. are according to what I defined in the Word format style "Vers". Once you have set up a format style in Word with the details according to your liking, you then can use it in a Logos CBV style and easily use it repeatedly for different projects/documents/etc.
How ingenious! That worked perfectly
This will probably become part of my normal routine.
Thanks for all your help!
Wolfgang,
I noticed something. Any idea how to fix this?
When it copy and pastes the scripture in my Word document, it drops the superscript attribute of the verse number. It makes it 23 instead of 23
Steve,it sounds like in the CBV style the superscript attribute is missing ... check the "for each verse" section. Instead of just "[VerseNum]" in that section, it should be "[VerseNum]".
Perfect! Thanks so much!
