Crash Opening a New Note In V 28.2.43 Logos and Verbum

In Windows 11 I have layouts open in both Verbum and Logos.

This just started last night

Each layout has a different notebook open for the study I am working on in each.

I can load and edit any existing notes I have, but as soon as I select the blue "New Note" button in the top right of the note there is a short pause and the program crashes.

Same in both Verbum and Logos

I have:

Rebooted the Laptop

Reindexed after restarting Logos

Closed the Notes Tool, Closed the Program, restarted Logos, reopened the Notes Tool

The Verbum crash log says; Error detail: ServiceException: 'style' is invalid: 'highlight' of 'custom' requires 'markupStyle' to be set.

I haven't changed any highlights i normally use in a few days that I can recall. How do I track that down??

Here is the whole log 6445.VerbumCrash.txt

    Problem resolved.[:D]

In case anyone else has this problem, here is what I did.

Apparently the issue was sort of a bug or a fluke that showed up in the last note I created in Logos seven days ago. Which also happened to be the open note in which I tried to select "New Note" from when it crashed.

This note had a custom highlight style assigned to it that has been part of my study palette for years and has not ever caused a problem neither has  it been changed. However, when I removed that style from that note and tried to select "New Note" again everything worked as expected and a new note opened.

So, I went to the Highlighting Tool, selected that style and edit. I changed the font color from blue to another color and back to blue again, saved it. I then went back to the note and reselected my custom blue highlight style. I again selected "New Note from within that note and it opened a new note, everything still works fine again.

Could you explain "from within that note", because the New note button is in the toolbar? And then you state it was an "open note"??

Yes you are correct, my mistake. I had the note open and thought it was part of the note.

    Thank you for correcting me.
