Hi Brian
Does anyone know how to search for all the imperatives within the words of Christ only?
Repeating the suggestion I made in the Faithlife group:
You could try either of these:
1) "morph.g:V??M IN speaker:Jesus" (this finds all the imperative verbs where Jesus is speaking)
2) "propositionalOutline:Command IN speaker:Jesus" (this finds all the places tagged as being a command where Jesus is speaking) They will give you slightly different sets of results but should provide a good starting point

Thanks Graham! That was VERY helpful.
The first one worked like a charm but the second search term didn't do anything for me.
Thanks for your help!

Glad the first one was useful
The second makes use of the Propositional Outline dataset that is included in the Bronze Feature Upgrade or higher. If you don't have that, then I'm afraid that search option won't work.

And I've just seen in your Faithlife Groups post on this Phil Gons suggested this as a better approach:
command:* INTERSECTS speaker:Jesus
This does require, at least, the Starter Feature Upgrade.

that one didn't work either. strange, because I always thought I had a high level version.

Should I purchase the "Logos 10 Full Feature Upgrade" for $199?

That's always a difficult one to answer. It comes down to whether the extra functionality / books you get is worth that price to you. And that's really only something you can answer.
It would give you access to all the current features in Logos - which I, personally, find really useful.

An alternative to this could be subscribing to Faithlife Connect, at the Essentials level, or to - a bit cheaper - Verbum now. Both contain the Full Feature set and some (different) perks more.
Have joy in the Lord!
