Where should I begin...

My knowledge of Thomas Aquinas is embarrassingly sparse. So, would anyone like to suggest where I should begin?
mm.

Mine too, but knowing about him doesn’t impact my salvation one bit! I’ve read some of his commentaries and I like them. Maybe find a book that offers a biography about him if you really want to know about him.

I do have some 'minor' bios on him. It's "probably" a good idea to start slow. Get to know him and then move on. The one set of books/resources that I'd like to get is Summa Contra Gentiles.

A Summa of the Summa: The Essential Philosophical Passages of St. Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theologica - Verbum is excellent as Peter Kreeft is a master at speaking to the average reader
Albert and Thomas: Selected Writings - Verbum is also excellent and provides a bit broader perspective and context.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
