Anyone know how to generate a greek word list with descending frequency for ALL the words of the NT?
I am curious to learn this as well. Thanks for asking the question David.
Go to Tools and select Concordance. In the Concordance tool select your Greek text, the example below is NA28, then by Lemma and let it populate. Here is a screenshot. As you can see you have other filter options in the left menu.
Yeah, couple of different ways. First, you can use the concordance tool. Select the UBS5 or NA28 as your translation, search for Lemma in all passages, and it will create a list of everything. Sort via count instead of heading to see it descend in order of frequency.
The other way is via a word list. Again, select add lemma from the Greek and select reference range to Matt-Rev. This will take a long time to generate, but can similarly be ordered via count. Additionally, the word list can be exported into an excel spreadsheet.
I created and made public such a list a year ago, you can find it here https://flshare.net/g24bj6 or by searching the public documents. It's entitled 'NT Greek (UBS5) - All Words'
Thanks Mal. This is a great document.
Thanks
