Anyone get a M3, M3 Pro, or M3 Max? Wondering your thoughts on real-world performance?
Went to Best Buy today to compare my M1 Pro:to it. Was going to export a video I make weekly from both to compare. But while they had them in stock they didn’t have any on display yet.
Were you looking for an M3Pro? Not much gains here from reports. The largest gains were the MAX, even the M3 base.
I have read that the Pro comes with 8gb RAM and the Max with 16. There were a lot of reviewers disappointed with that decision.

According to Apple, it is for M3 Pro more RAM: "Configurable to: 36GB" (M3 Max --> 128GB)

I should have made clear that I was talking about the baseline.
other complaints involve the price to go beyond the base. On the Pro, it works out to $200 per 8GB.
I upgraded from a 2016 (I think) MacBook Pro with and I5 and 8Gigs of ram to a MacBook Pro m2 Pro (the base version). The change was amazing. Then about 5 days later apple announced the M3 line so I promptly returned it for MB Pro M3 Pro with 18 gigs of ram, 1 TB HD, and the 12cpu/18gpu chip... haven't noticed any difference between it and the M2 Pro in the few days I had it...
All that to say it depends what you are coming from. Logos is much smoother on M-series chips than older Intel chip and config than I had. The battery life is amazing. The whole computer is much faster and smoother than the old MacBook, but that's to be expected after a severn year upgrade.
