Considering argumentation schema led me to pattern languages led me to How To Read Design Patterns in Biblical Narrative (bibleproject.com). Patterns from the Bible (lovesark.net), and John Mark Hicks whose Searching for Pattern I read a few years back and quickly forgot. Yes, there are hermeneutical approaches that precede the term "pattern language" that are related - typology, motif analysis, set scenes, perhaps even some work on word repetition - but I really am looking for the specific discipline.
So, I do a search on all my books for "pattern language" and get two bibliographic references to architecture where the term was first invented. Literally all other entries were of the form "pattern <end of sentence> Language" i.e. unrelated to what I am looking for. Does anyone know of a book or scholar or article that can open this rabbit trail? It really seems as if it should be a productive thread of Bible interpretation - despite BARD going super hallucination on it.
