Affordable automatic translation for non-English speakers
Hello !
There is a wealth of resources for English speakers. Starting with breadth and quality of commentaries.
I see affordable automatic translation as a key enabler to recommend Logos further to non-English speakers.
For example with a good quality automatic translation, it makes sense to recommend the purchase of the Expositor's commentaries to French speaking people, combined with a reasonable starter French base package.
However, automatic translation in Desktop comes with Gold only at a price of 1200$. It's a clear no go for most people.
Is there any way that automatic translation would be made more affordable ? Until then, all this wealth will remain locked away from non-English speakers.

I can't answer your question, but you could always use DeepL as a separate app that you place next to your Logos window. Translation wouldn't be automatic of course, you would need to select the text and hit the DeepL keyboard shortcut. Not sure, what the limits are for the free version, but the paid options start from 7,50€/month.

With Silver availability is limited to the Web App. Which has limitations compared to the Desktop App.
And Silver also has a hefty price tag compared to entry packages, for a new user.0 -
Famille, what you're saying is true. Both profit-wise, and religious-wise. My guess is commercial re-use require them to pay?

They indicated that was the reason for the cap on an individual's use with a fee for additional translation services.

I don’t mean tell Logos what they should do. Only that this feature is needed already at a starter level for non-English speaking users to access a wide range of resources, compared to accessing only those resources in their language.
