Note file that shows the changes between the ESV 2001 and 2007 text
Ok, I have finished a Logos Bible Software note file that has all the changes in the ESV text from 2001 to 2007 and also those changes that were made from 2011 to the 2016 text. I am going to put all the changes made from 2007 to the 2011 but wanted to get this out to those who wanted it. To get the note file by clicking this link: https://fl.vu/Wd3w8

Thanks! I made your link active in the quote - I trusted you enough to follow your shortened URL, but I personally would have given a link to documents.logos.com in the open, or via the chain-link functionality of the forum editor.
Have joy in the Lord!

Actually that shortlink is generated by Logos so it is the official URL.

Am I doing something wrong? I click the link and it says, "You do not have a copy of this document."
I'd be really interested to see this note file because it actually affected me the other day that I prepared a sermon using the 2016 text and then apparently the person who printed the bulletins used the 2001 or 2007 text (not even sure which one), and it actually made a difference on a key point I was making.

Click the Action button in the top-right corner of that page. You can then Connect to the notebook and have it show up in your Logos.

James — a big thanks for that note file by the way. It's really useful to me.

Brilliant thanks James [Y]

I had tried that to no affect, and I went ahead and tried "duplicate" just now. It took me to a list of my documents, and it shows the ESV changes document twice, but it doesn't show up on my desktop client though. Even with a forced update it doesn't appear.
Any other ideas? [:(]

Thanks for the work you put into this James!
For those interested, I made a copy did some slight modifications and also added the 2007/2011 revisions. I called the Notebook "ESV Revisions" if you wish to search for it on the public tab of the Docs menu, or you can get it at this link: https://fl.vu/d8L5J
Besides adding the 2011 revisions, I changed all the icons to the newly available 'text comparison' icon, color coded by revision, and tagged by revision. Additionally I removed the anchors on some large blocks of text where the revision only affected the ends (effectively this created two separate anchors, with the advantage being less highlighted text).

Are you looking in the list of Notebooks in the Notes tool?

They don't appear anywhere in the desktop client. I click on "documents" at the top by the magnifying glass and it lists all my own personal notes but not this one. When I click on the three dots in that triangle configuration it's the same thing: just my personal notes and not this one. I only see this one listed when I'm on the Faithlife website (either https://faithlife.com/account/documents or https://documents.logos.com). So it feels like some kind of issue with it syncing between the website and my desktop client.

James C., I just wanted to say a big thank you to you for the work you did here. Your labors have been a great help to me. I think that, like my KJVParallelBible.org, your little project sends an implicit message that is as important as its explicit message—namely that the revisions didn't change a whole lot. Paragraph after paragraph is precisely the same. Many people are alarmed by the idea that a Bible translation might need to be revised; this helps show 1) how infrequent and 2) how minor most of these changes (in the ESV, at least) usually are. A great tool for putting people at ease. Thank you!

Wow, I didn’t realize you could share a notebook.
I wish I had time to watch all of the tutorial videos. Even having used this software since 2014, I feel like I’m barely scratching the surface.

The latest ESV text changes update includes the Gideon's and the Catholic edition. I still have more to do, but hope this is helpful.

Hi James
I have installed your notebook on ESV text changes, but would like to remove it. On my Logos it shows as locked. How do I remove it, please?

You can add and delete shared files at https://documents.logos.com/. The lock simply keeps you from updating the file.

Thank you! I didn't even know that page existed!

The link no longer works for me, and I'd be interested in seeing the text changes in the ESV. Thanks for all the work you did in putting this together!
