I'm an 82-year-old new beginner, 6 months. I've got memory problems. What are the advantages of purchasing the starter package? Is it worth upgrading?

    Vince, welcome to the forum.  And it's great you're so young, expanding your Bible studies.

    I assume you already have the free Logos package, installable on your PC or Mac.  If not, or for anyone else:

    free-edition

    But assuming you have the free edition, it's pretty nicely stocked.  The key is to scan down what's in Starter ( https://www.logos.com/product/228265/logos-10-starter ) and see (a) if you need or want an item, (b) what do they normally charge (the price) and then jot down the total you'd want, for comparison.

    I did that, imagining I had the free edition already.  And I was imagining just studying the Bible, wanting good information, looking at maps and so forth.  Just enjoying God's Word.

    I saw maybe $100 of items in Starter I'd like.  The rest, meh.  There was lots of stuff.  But that's me.  But that's the approach I'd take.

    Hi DMB;

    Thank you so much for the info and the quick link to compare programs.  I've been using the web program for 6 months now and enjoy it. Not sure yet if I want to upgrade.

    Have a Great Day!

    Vince.
