Log In Problems

For the past couple of days, I have had difficulty logging in when starting V4. Sometimes it takes just a second try, and just now, it took five tries.

I am confident it is not the computer or conncetion, as this has happened on two different machines in two different locations.

FWIW, I really like that we log in and things are synchronized. I can understand some folks not liking it, but I really do. Seems like a win-win for Logos and us.

When I have trouble logging in however, I get pretty annoyed. Please keep in mind that my log in troubles have only been yesterday and today.

    Jerry,

I periodically have a hitch logging in. I've never had to try more than once though. I don't have an answer to your problem, but thought it was worth letting you know that you're not alone.

Can you be more specific about the difficulties? Are you getting errors which cause Logos4 to work offline, or shut down? Does it hang and you have to end it in task manager?

George, the problems that I have occasionally encountered are that, when opening 4.0, instead of logging straight in it takes me to the log-in screen where I enter my username and password, and it tells me something like, "There was an error connecting to logos.com. Please try again." Or perhaps it tells me my password or username is incorrect. I can't remember exactly, and I just opened and closed the program 5 times with no luck getting the error. That's obviously a good thing, but I can't be more specific [:)]

When it does happen, I simply click "log in" and it logs me in. It only happens occasionally.

Do you have a wireless connection to your network/internet? Are you starting up Logos directly after signing into your windows profile? I'm thinking since it doesn't happen every time it may have something to do with the connection not being fully established. Logs would be nice next time this happens, you may simply copy the logs while the program is running (direclty after getting back to the sign in screen) and that should show us some more info..

    George -

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Busy Monday after a busy Sunday!

Logos does not shut down, but simply fails to log in. It gives me the option to work offline. What I do is try to log in again. Like I said, most of the time it goes fine on the 2nd try, but today it took 5. I think yesterday on my other machine it took 3 times.

I should also point out that most of the time, Logos logs in with no problems. I usually don't have the problem.

The next time it happens, I will post a log. If it is on a different machine than my test computer, I will note that.

    George,

I do not have a wireless connection. This happened again today, not immediately after logging in, after installing Beta 3. I've included the screen shot and the logs.
