Merry Christmas, all!
“Though he existed in the form of God,did not regard equality with Godas something to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, assuming human likeness. And being found in appearance as a human,he humbled himself.” (Philippians 2: 6-8, NRSV)

How about Marry Christmas?
[:D]
No, no... The Bible says that Joseph went to be registered with Mary, to whom he was engaged" (only)! [:P]
Merry Christmas and blessings to all.
Psalm 65:11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.
Mary Christmas to all! How about Marry Christmas?
Thank you Jan. I am sorry for that , but I am also very thankful for ingoring my mistake.
I thought it was on purpose, so I responded in kind... 🤣
I think the original heading was a nice typo, and Jan´s comment on it was hilarious. [:)] After all, Mary is quite central a figure in Christmas! But, merry Christmas, anyway!
Now that it is truly dark and Advent is past - Gaudete! Merry Christmas! Have a great Christmastide ... and enjoy the music of the season.
For a child is born to us. A son is given to us;
(Isaiah 9:6)
Καλά Χριστούγεννα!
Merry Christmas to all, with my latest orchestral arrangement of the Christmas Gospel, the Nativity of Christ in Luke 2:1-14.
I made this poem more than 3 years ago, when the covid-time began, and originally made a small band version of it. It´s been long years in making an orchestral arrangement out of it, since - well, the symphonic orchestra has lots of instruments, but here it is, finally on Christmas Day:
Here´s the music: https://youtu.be/GDitZnyMhj4
And here´s the poem in the music:
Augustus, great the Emperor, a degree of Census gave, that all to towns of ancestorsshould go - and so he paved the way for Joseph and his spouse to pay the taxes there. So Joseph left his home and house to pay the needed fare.
So off he went to Judea a small town, Betlehem. leaving behind him Galilee, the village Nazareth, with Mary, virgin, undefiled, to whom he was engaged. And Mary, pregnant with a child,on journey long she waged.
And having reached the proper place,Her time of labour came. And in the inn they had no base. it was an awful shame! And bringing forth her firstborn son,she swaddled him so tight, and laying him in manger - shunned in stable took the flight!
And in the pasture on that night the shepherds watched their flock, surrounded by the angels’ might by radiance were shocked! The angel saying unto them: ”Fear not! I bring you news: glad tidings in town, Betlehem: The manger as a clue…”
”For unto you is born today a Savior, Lord, the Christ! Go, see yourselves, and make the way: He is your treasured prize! And suddenly a host so great uncountable by size began to praise to God – so late: It was a Holy Night!
”So glory be to God on high and peace on earth for men!” He came as man for us to die, to save us from Sin’s Den. Immanuel, God draw so nigh! Loves us, is pleased, amen! ”So glory be to God on high and peace on earth for men!”
Thank you Jan. I am sorry for that , but I am also very thankful for ingoring my mistake. I thought it was on purpose, so I responded in kind... 🤣
No,it was late in the night. I had no conentration. Just simply overlooked.
