Genealogy of Paul

I am looking to do a study on the genealogy of Paul the Apostle. Paul was an enigmatic figure. According to his own account, Paul was born at Tarsus, the capital of the Roman province of Cilicia, as a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin. I also know he grew up in Jerusalem. Does Logos have a dataset with this information? If not is there a book on the topic?

Look at Factbook especially the Dig deeper section

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I highly recommend this book: https://www.logos.com/product/246885/all-the-genealogies-of-the-bible-visual-charts-and-exegetical-commentary

But I do not recommend the Logos version! It’s been a little stuck in prepub but if you wanna run a 30 day trial, you can pre-order as it’s supposed to ship tomorrow.  I highly doubt the charts will be good, though.

It did ship today (this evening for me) and the charts are perfectly fine; everything is the same as the Amazon sample I've been previewing in the last few days:

Yasmin, please, do me a favor; click on the charts and let me know what happens.

    Thanks!

On desktop, nothing happens. On iPad, you get the usual box with the highlight options etc.

Also, there is a problem with footnote numbers on the charts - there are no corresponding footnotes. If Faithlife got these footnotes from the publisher, what happened to them? I suppose they will have to look through their Recycle Bin and restore them ... somehow 🤔

I hereby qualify my enthusiasm to say the visual appearance of the charts is good 😛

a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin.

He also said he was a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees (Acts 23:6).

Other than this small bit of information about where Paul's ancestry came from, we know nothing about his specific genealogy. So no, Logos doesn't have a dataset with this information, and if there were any book that had it, it would be pure speculation.

Wikipedia is often a surprisingly good source for summary info about biblical people. In the case of Paul, there's a section on his Early Life which includes the above details, as well as a little about some of his relatives: "Paul's nephew, his sister's son, is mentioned in Acts 23:16. In Romans 16:7, he states that his relatives, Andronicus and Junia, were Christians before he was and were prominent among the Apostles."

This is the chart that my book has and the rest of the information in the exegetical article comes from Scriptures:
