Where do I find, and how do I cut/past references to books in Logos?  I'm wanting to make a references list at the back of my paper, and would like to list all my references.

Many thanks

John

Sorry, John (if you're even reading this):

    1) We are just users here (for the most part) and don't know your personal email address. You didn't post it here, and shouldn't have anyway because bots pick up email addresses from public forums to use for spam. Even Logos wouldn't necessarily be able to look up your email address and know who to send the answer to (if they did that sort of thing, which they don't) because you might not be the only John Morine who is a user of theirs.

    2) Also, it's not fair to ask a question on a public forum whose answer might be of general use to other people and ask for the answer to be sent privately to you via email.

In case you do come back here to check for an answer (which anyone who posts on a public forum should expect to do), or for the benefit of others reading this thread:

You can copy the citation for any Logos book by doing this:

    a) Open the book in question in Logos

    b) Open the Information panel for that book (Ctrl+Shift+I on Windows, Cmd+Shift+I on Mac)

    c) Select the citation style you want from the dropdown menu

    d) Click Copy next to the citation

my apologies for not knowing what to expect on a forum - never used one and am new to all this technology.  I apologize also for a lack of  knowledge regarding computing, the tone of your reply is frustration, I'm sorry for asking my question, and will assure you that I will try my best to do better next time, and minimize my use of this platform.  God bless.

No need to worry about Rosie's tone. I'm sure nothing ill was thought about or intended. Rosie's very helpful and is an all-around nice person.

Enjoy Logos and feel free to ask anything about using it that you need to in these forums. Lots of good and helpful people here.

In written form it is easy to misunderstand each other. Having spent years on the forums with her and having met her in person, I am sure Rosie didn't mean to come off as frustrated. Understand that in order to learn to use Logos quickly, you need to come to the forum often and ask anything Logos related. We are here to help you find the better ways for you to do things with Logos.

Welll....  can't email b/c no email and as stated by others you shouldn't post email in forums.

But as to coping and cut/paste in Logos.......  go to YouTube and look up "using clippings in Logos 10"...  and you'll get a list of videos that might help you in what your seeking.  You can "drag and drop" from most books in Logos to a Clipping document. I do this regularly.

Another thing you might check out is Notes.  Again in YouTube, type in "Using Notes in Logos 10" and you'll get another list of videos.

Also, you can always ask for help in the forums. I find the people on here are more than willing to help.

    Hope this helps.  [8-|]

Apologies if my wording made me sound frustrated. I certainly shouldn't have chosen the phrase "not fair". I wasn't frustrated at all. I attempt to be as helpful as possible here to the widest number of people. I'm sometimes a klutz about my wording (probably a bit neurodivergent), and I'm sorry for not rereading my reply closely enough to pick up on how it might have come across to others.
