BUG: Shouldn't this be classified as a Bible despite its study help additions?

Spangler, Ann. Names of God Bible, the. Grand Rapids, MI: Revell, 2011. Why is this Bible classified as a monograph?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I wonder if that's because it's an ebook? I was really excited when I bought this from the Vyrso store eons ago ... but I have never been able to use it the way I want to because it's mostly a massive text dump. Even if they don't want to do the full treatment, turning it into a Reader edition would be a great improvement.

    It's because it's a Faithlife ebook.

I haven't looked at all at the resource but a general question for you: Hypothetically speaking if we were to develop systems that could classify ebooks better (my hunch is that it wouldn't be perfect but would be better than everything being a monograph) would you find value in something being classified as a Bible even if it had none of the mark-up one would expect to find in a Bible?

That's a hard one. My gut instinct is that I'd prefer "Bible" to be limited to marked-up versions, but I can certainly see the other side. Assuming an improved classification system, would it be unrealistic to have a second bucket for unmarked-up Bible texts?

Realistically speaking: classification of books is a hodgepodge anyway, isn't it long overdue you expose the actual index information in the library (ask your colleague Mark Barnes, he requested this for all the "traits" information - which e.g. would make it unnecessary to carry manual mytags for "has a Reverse Interlinear" etc - long long ago)? A bible without bible index is nearly unusable, on the other hand it is helpful to know that a certain translation is available if needed (such as "the Voice", also a monograph eBook), same goes for eBook commentaries.

Have joy in the Lord! Smile

Yes, which I know from actual use. I have a mytag for untagged Bibles and Psalters because there are times I specifically want to look at outlier translations of scripture. This is actually a larger category than you might think:
