would you find value in something being classified as a Bible even if it had none of the mark-up one would expect to find in a Bible?

Yes, which I know from actual use. I have a mytag for untagged Bibles and Psalters because there are times I specifically want to look at outlier translations of scripture. This is actually a larger category than you might think:
