Syncing both ways

I think somebody mentioned that syncing between a desktop and Android goes only one way. I think when having both devices open and then closed, the next time you open the desktop, it will sync to the Android and not the desktop.

is that correct?

You will need to clarify what you mean by "sync." What specially are you wanting to sync?

when I have both my desktop and Android open to the same spot in a resource and then use only the desktop to read further in that resource will the Android open to that same spot after I exit out of both platforms?

Or, does the Android control the position of both? For instance. once again, if I have both open to the same spot in a resource and then read further only in the Android and then exit out of both, will the desktop resource once it's reopened go to the location that was last used on the Android?

No - if you have the resource open on both platforms then updating the position on one will not update the position on the other (this was the case for a long time, I haven't checked recently so it is possible this has changed)

As Graham stated, the answer is "no."

The desire to have resources always sync locations is a common request. However, Logos is a complicated application with MANY different case usages. It is best to understand mobile as a layout... and a layout which is NOT on your desktop computer.

If a user wants resource location to sync, the official answer is this:

    1. While online, Open the resource on a device. Use the resource. Close the resource.

    Rinse & Repeat.

If the resource is open anywhere, it will STAY PUT on that device (or layout). When a resource is opened from the library, it <should> (i.e. is supposed to) open from the last used location across all devices.

    That sounds right @JT.

There are plenty of apps these days that sync.  Many even sync real time...open the app on desktop and mobile, make change on either platform, see the changes almost instantly on the other platform.  Kindle has done book syncing very well for many many years.  Seems like this should be simple to fix but it's never worked like most people expect it to.  It's not "sync" it's "sync only if you do the following things..." which you detailed.
