How can I link a lexicon to my Holman Christian Standard Bible? I want it to link so I can hover over a word in my Bible and it open to the word in a lexicon. I used this as a reference but cannot make it work. https://www.logos.com/features/link-sets

you cannot link two books that lack a common index - in this case one has a bible milestone index and the other has a lemma index. You control the order of lexicon opened via clicks or context menu by lexicon priority.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I do not understand what you are saying about the controll. I also see where it says on the Logos site

The Link a Lexicon to a Bible feature allows you to link your English Bible directly to an original language lexicon and move seamlessly between them. Navigate from the Bible you’re reading to expanded definitions and discussions of the original Greek or Hebrew word behind the English translation. Reformat the lexicon’s text into an aesthetically pleasing outline, and Logos will hold your place. If your lexicon is open to a word you're studying in the biblical text, Logos highlights that word in the biblical text and also the reference you have open if your lexicon cites it.

I was mistaken (sortof) in my answer. The instructions you point to work exactly as they are. You end up with the same linkset letter on both resources; you must own the reverse interlinear for your English Bible. Not all lexicons support the reformatting function - my favorite does not.

Can you tell me what lexicons support the reformatting function?

This is the original announcement New Feature: Outline Formatting--visual filter for select lexicons - Logos Forums. I haven't really paid attention to any updates to the list as I simply look for the visual filter for reformatting - if it is there, reformatting is possible; if not, its not.

Where is the data containing the click directions to create Link Sets?

If you don't have a subscription, details can be found here - https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016827711-Link-Sets (this article hasn't been updated yet to show how to do this using the new toolbar.

If you are using the new toolbar, the equivalent functionality is available from the home tab:

    Thank you, Graham, sir.

Yes, we have the new toolbar. That's how we discovered link sets but when we attempted to hook up stuff we can't make 'er go. An example of two or three things that one might wish to link would be most helpful at this point. We do understand items must share similar programming or data bases in order to be linkable in the first place.

I use Logos every day, almost all day, and linking together text and lexicon is fundamental to my setup. I also link a text to search so that I can do everything in one click.

Like Brian above, I always link my bible to lexicons. I also use multi view to have multiple lexicons show in the same pane. Put a information window and BWS guide and you have my set up.

I also use the "B" link since the orange "A" link is hard on my eyes.

There's a work around if you are having an issue linking your Bible and Lexicon. Link your Bible to the BWS guide and you have access to your Lexicons in this guide.
