Westminster Confession and Heidelberg Catechism Inline Notes - Conflict with Highlighting?
I'm using both sets of inline notes while working through the WCF and HC documents from my library. I open individual inline notes as I read through the confessional documents. I also have the standard Logos highlighting set and my preferred bible (ESV) open in the layout. All is well until I try to highlight anything in the WCF or HC (the source text, not the inline notes themselves. I understand the notes are locked for editing). The presence of the inline notes prevents any highlighting in the confessional documents. I verified this by closing the notes panel; I could then use the highlighting tools.
I tried deleting other resources such as dictionaries and bibles from the layout to see if that solved the problem. The only solution was to close the notes panel, which of course defeats the purpose of having the inline notes. My workaround has been to use the web app to apply highlighting and use the desktop to open the inline notes. I can do it, but it's kind of clunky.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Thanks!

I had the same.
This 'might' be of some help.

Sounds like a bug - like it is trying to edit the current note rather than adding a new note. If the electricity stays on, I try to test this out.

Read this thread. It will explain what's going on. Especially pages 1 and 2.

Yes, that's compatible with what I thought was happening. An explicit new note in another notebook resolves the issue. I think it is a bug for the app to try to create a new note in a locked notebook.

Thank you for the responses. Making a new note in a new notebook seems to have solved the problem.
Have a great day!
