KYLE: CEB Still not up to date
See this previous post: Does Logos have the Current/Updated CEB?? - Logos Forums
James 4:4 still doesn't reflect the correct text.
CEB website/Bible Gateway/YouVersion:
You unfaithful people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God?
Logos CEB:
You unfaithful people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God?
Can Logos please ensure that we have the latest text of the CEB?

I trust that you mean we have the latest text associated with the current meta-data for the CEB ... i.e. that if we reference it, anyone using the same edition will see exactly what we saw.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I'm asking Logos to ensure that we have the latest text from the publisher with the correct wording.

Okay, this is one of the rare occasions where we disagree but, at least for me, it is not a major issue.

Not sure what you're disagreeing about. If the publisher has updated the translation (i.e. changed the wording), you don't think we should have the latest version in Logos? For example, there have been several updates of the CSB since it was released in 2017. You would prefer Logos not incorporate those changes?

This is timely as the CEB is the version I am using for my annual Bible read-through this year. Are there many other differences?
On this issue, I am a little concerned with the trend of "stealth updates" to electronic works (i.e., outside of a formally announced new edition).

Yes, that is exactly what I want. I want the text to match the wording specified by the metadata not the current wording. The recent debacle with the ESV Church history study Bible non-citations is an example of why I want to be able to cite things accurately. If I want the current reading, I can cite the web site with date and time. When I cite my electronic book, I want everyone in the world to see exactly what I saw OR know they are looking at a different edition.

I've notified our materials team to see if we can get the most recent changes. I don't see any indication that we've ever received any since 2019 but they'll see what they can do.
Also: I agree with you MJ. The metadata should be updated to reflect the textual edition being used.0
