Installing an older android version of the Logos app.
My Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy S3) is showing its age. It is running Android 9.0 and can't be updated anymore. I'm running Logos 30.02 and it has become so slow that there are some functions I simply cannot use. How do I download and install an older version of Logos that is compatible with my tablet's old operating system?

Android 9.0 is still compatible. See here:

It might be helpful to wipe the tablet and re-install all apps. In my experience, performance issues improve when doing that. You'd lose all files and documents stored on the tablet though.

"It might be helpful to wipe the tablet and re-install all apps"
Yes, that will help, but it isn't going to address the real issue -- my tablet is old and Logos has advanced beyond its capabilities. While Android 9.0 is still "compatible" it places significant limits on the app's performance. A better solution is to go back to an older version of Logos that will run well on Android 9.0. So, I'll ask it again: How do I find and install an older version of Logos. Of course, I'll have to make sure it doesn't try to automatically update, so maybe we should address that issue as well.

How do I find and install an older version of Logos.
There is some information at https://wiki.logos.com/Old_app_versions_for_Android but it doesn't seem up to date.

I maintained that wiki page up to version 5.0 back then (the point in time when FL stopped supplying old Android versions on their own servers.)
None of this is supported anyway. Only the newest Android version is supported.
But if the newest version doesn't run on the tablet any more, it should still be better to be able to work with an unsupported version than not to be able to work with a supported version.
Please note that most books that have been compiled for a newer Logos version can't be loaded on old versions of the app. That means you won't be able to read most of the new releases and most of the recently updated books if you use an old app version.
Those apk archive sites such as apkgold and apkpure as linked on the wiki page come and go... One of them has already disappeared. I managed to find a working site that has archived quite a lot of old versions. Be careful there, that site is infested with a lot of intrusive ads and tries to trick you to click those instead of the actual download links...

In order to be able to install those apks, you'll have to enable side loading in the tablet settings.
Another idea that came to my mind, you could give it a try to use the Faithlife ebooks app instead the Logos app. It only has the plain and basic reading features without any of the new and fancy Logos 10 features that make your tablet laggy.
