Course book no longer sold. Why?
I'm really enjoying Mobile Ed course B1201, The Story of the Bible, by Michael Goheen. But clicking on links to the Logos version of his book, The Drama of Scripture, referenced throughout the course, flags up an error message which tells me that Logos no longer sells it. I managed to get it on Kindle, but that has two disadvantages: there is a publisher's limit on copy and paste when creating my course notes, and there's no 'hover-over' feature to throw up the content of Bible references. Does anybody know why Logos no longer sells this excellent book, and if they may re-stock it in the future?

Logos still sells the book. It is now the 2nd edition. Perhaps the original edition was used in creating the Mobil Ed notes and those links will no longer connect to the 2nd edition. Perhaps they just didn't get the links set up correctly.
This is something I hope Logos will correct since they do have rights to the new edition.

it's been quite a long time since I called and FL said they would get rid of the outdated book in the M.Ed. Not yet.
I hope they never will! As your screenshot shows, the course currently links to both the 1st and the 2nd edition of Goheen's book, so everything is cool for anyone who owns either one of the two editions. This is the perfect way to solve this (when possible).
Why should those people be punished with a loss of functionality who own the earlier version of the book? For some reason I own the course but not the book, and I see that Logos only sells the most recent edition they produced, but I'm glad to see links to both versions.
EDIT: I still find it disturbing, somewhat unprofessional and also not the wisest choice from a financial perspective that Logos kills product pages of things they no longer sell. Especially in cases like this, where the old product page could easily get a box "this book has been replaced with a newer edition you'll find here" and avoid people carrying their money to Amazon when they could give it to Logos and be much more satisfied./EDIT
Have joy in the Lord!

Many thanks, everyone. I assumed that the regular double link to Goheen's book was a glitch, and never tried the second of the two, which enables me to get the second edition!

Good to know. Thanks for bringing that to light.
