When I try to replace a bible reference with verses a heading shows up instead of verses. Is there a fix for this?
Hi Ken and welcome to the forums.
You will need to give us a little more information about how you are using the programme. A screen shot might help. Use the paperclip or the symbol to the right of it to attach the file to a post.
My pastor friend I was working with today was seeing the same thing when he tried to do this as well. It is a hyperlinked heading. How does one manually set the Copy Bible Verses tool so that when they click on a verse it automatically loads it in the window? On my pastor's PC you have to type in the reference. That is not the way I understood it to work. I could be wrong here.
When I highlight the passage in Pages or Apple Notes and use the shortcut Command-Shift-E it usually inserts the passgae. I noticed today that it works except in the Gospel of Luke.
This is what happens when I highlight Luke 3:1-10 and use the shortcut.
“” (Luke 3:1–10, Luke: The Gospel of Amazement)
Here is what happens when I do John 3:16
““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, ESV)
crazy eh?
Realized it is a problem with Luke in the ESV. Other books of the Bible and other translations don't seem to have the same problem.
