atlas scolling with bible text
I would like to realize the following.
When I read the Bible, I would like to have a map scroll in the second window. Every time I see a place name in the Bible window I would like to see a map in the other window showing that place.
I wouldn't want to keep clicking, but would like to see a map automatically, just like with parallel display.
How should I approach that?
I want to use personal books, but I don't know which tags or codes I should use.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for more information?
So for me it's about the technology,
Not so much about an already existing module.
Thank you so much already.

I would like to see this as well. I am not sure how to do it or if it can be done. I have this for Bible and Commentary paired together. I cannot wait for someone to pop in and discuss this topic.

I've never quite understood why Logos avoided 'Bible-study' functionalites. Dynamic map display is so obvious. Timelines for mentioned events. Instead, click little tiny icons had like Cracker Jacks, see what appears.

Note the following from the Wiki page I mentioned above:
[quote]Pictures and Images
You can paste images from Logos or .bmp (bitmap) format directly into your document. Others must be inserted from the hard drive and with Text Wrapping (on right click menu) set to In Line.
Note: Neither method works with Word 2003, so you have to save to docx from Word 2007 or Skydrive. In addition, note that only images in jpg or png format will work when inserted into the docx document file.Wolfgang Schneider

A quick workaround would be to link a book with many maps. See my attached screenshot below.
I linked my bible to the ESV study Bible. I also enabled the inline search and ran the #image search. This hides all text and shows only images. As you jump from passage to passage, the next map will appear. It's a hack, but it gets you close to what you seek.

Dr. John Brumett created a personal book with links to most maps in 30 major resources. You can search the collection of personal books to find the map, open the personal book, and click the link to the map. It's a wonderful way to find maps easily.
Enjoy!

Here's the collection of user contributed personal books. Searching for "maps" on that page (Ctrl+F on Windows, Cmd+F on Mac) will find it. It's called Logos 7 Maps Linked to a Bible and in Chronological Order.
But to save you the trouble, just click on the link to it in the paragraph above. However for future searches for stuff users have contributed, the instructions might still someday come in handy.
