MacOS desktop app issues
Hello, brand new here. I'm going through the tutorials for LOGOS10 but I'm having issues following the instructor. For starters, there's no bible icon on the toolbar, i have to go to my library and open it there. Also, the tool bar is at the top and cannot be moved to the bottom. perhaps its a small issue but id like to move it to see what id like best. The above mentioned issues are not present while using the browser however, the browser is slow to open resources. This is an older mac and is using the last version of Catalina and can no longer be updated. Im just now learning how to really use the tools available here but its really frustrating when the instructor wants me to click and open something that isn't there.

Hi Eric - and welcome to the forums

Which tutorials are you looking at - and which specific vided are you seeing the discrepancy?
Also, the tool bar is at the top and cannot be moved to the bottom.
The options in Logos 10 are you have the tool bar either at the top or on the left - not at the bottom. Are you seeing it at the bottom somewhere?
This is an older mac and is using the last version of Catalina and can no longer be updated
Do you know which version of Logos you have? It sounds like it could be a version of Logos 9 and not based on Logos 10

Thank you for the reply Graham. About the toolbar, my mistake, not the bottom, I meant the left. I used to have L9 but i recently upgraded to L10 gold. I am using the "quick start" videos form my homepage as taught by Morris.

The Survey the scene video has this:
Are you saying that you don't see the Bible icon? If so, please post a screenshot (use the paperclip icon in the forum editor to do this)
And the toolbar location is not changed by drag / drop but in Program Settings

Unfortunately, as shown on our Minimum Requirements page, we don't support Catalina. You would need at least Big Sur to use the latest version of the software. That means that you are currently running an older version of the software that doesn't support some of the features you are seeing in the tutorials.

I did notice that my OS does not meet the minimum. For the most part the desktop app does work even with OS. I don't like using the browser as it is much slower at pulling up resources. looks like ill have to pick up a new computer soon.

If you are looking at the Mac mini as an option do not discard your existing iMac. With the addition of a Luna Display it can be used as an excellent second display and a passible main monitor.
