Is the James of Galatians 2 the same James as in Acts 15? I know there are a few "James".
Read commentaries on this chapter. It might be that there is no consensus on which James this is.
Or check what Logos thinks (via its tagging) by right-clicking on the word James anywhere in that chapter and looking at what shows up in the left side of the context menu.
Logos tagging shows the conclusion they came to, but it might not be the only answer. You'll have to sort through other sources and determine where you think the balance of the evidence lies.
Note that I haven't done this work yet myself, so it might be that there is a clear consensus and Logos has nailed it.
Paul Mentions James the brother of the Lord in Gal 1:19 and then James in Gal 2:9-12. I have read a few commentaries and none really seem to touch on this connection. Maybe I am not reading widely enough. Is that true? I have read Marshall Acts TNTC, Walaskay Acts, F.F. Bruce Acts NICNT, Lenski Acts, F.F. Bruce on Galatians, T. George. Galatians. NAC, Ebeling, Gerhard The Truth of the Gospel: An Exposition of Galatians, Martin Luther on Galatians, Guthrie Galatians and Lenski on Galatians. Am I reading in the wrong places? Could a word study be of importance here? That seems to be a bad place because James is a common word.
In the first place, James is Jacob, and a fairly common name, as also Jesus/Joshua. So, unless an author specifies a close relation or birthplace, one must speculate ('most scholars conclude ...').
But you never seem to use your Lexham Bible Dictionary (which discusses the problem).
I keep forgetting about the Bible dictionaries. I always go to commentaries that discuss verses and references. Is there a way to search dictionaries via a biblical text reference instead of a name/place/idea?

You can search for a biblical text reference using the syntax bible:"Genesis 1:1-3" (or whatever the scripture reference is)
You can search in all your dictionaries by limiting your search to either a collection you make (of dictionaries that you want to include in such a search) or a dynamic collection by typing type:dictionary in the Search box where you select what books you want to search in, and then make sure to select the first item in the menu that is all the items that match type:dictionary (there's a current misbehavior in that menu where it defaults to select the first book, not that item)..
type:dictionary
This would be for English Language Dictionaries, would it not?
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Oh, you're right. It should be type:encyclopedia. Christian, take note of this correction.
