What would happen if...?

Hi,
My desktop is around 10 years old and on its deathbed. I am backing up all my files before it breathes it last and I came across and old setup file in my downloads folder from Logos dated 2015.
I'm going to get the current files from Logos and use them when I when installing on a new computer, but I was just curious what would happen if I tried to used the old one. Would an earlier version of Logos install and then update to the current version?
Thanks.

... and what if it's just a loader app for the most recent version ... what would happen if .... ?

It <could> cause troubles, so don't experiment.
You could possibly lose notes. There would not be any benefit because most of the resource files would be outdated.

Thanks. I won't experiment. I'll use the most recent files. [:)]
