BUG: Reverse Interlinear Panel regarding Kai

This particular issue of a mis-tag for Kai has been around for a long time – so long, that I can't recall if I had previously reported it. But, I ran across it today by chance so I'll post the issue here to see if it will be corrected.

Kai is not given the correct Strong's number? or DBL? or something. Two screenshots will better explain I'm sure.

When clicking on G2532 and getting a popup for some other word.

When I input Kai into DBL Greek I get the following.

Kai seems to be tagged correctly and the issue you are seeing is related to DBL indexing. The word that Lookup takes you to is tagged as relating to ten and eight - and the Strongs number for each is used in the reference. I think all the references apart from that to G1277 should be removed - but we would need someone from Logos to advise further.

Yes, you are quite right I wrote mis-tag when misdirected would have been the better choice.

Hopefully someone with Logos will correct this.

Thanks for the report. I've passed this along to our content team. The multiple Strongs numbers appear to have been intentionally added as milestones, because the entry in that book states that they are equivalent. However, doing so does cause linking problems. The only suggestion I have for resolving this is to prioritize a different Lexicon.

Doesn't the entry in the book say that 18 is made up of 8 and 10 (which is where the kai reference comes) - not that they are equivalent?

I don't know the exact definition of "≡" in this context and the book itself doesn't explain in the Table of Abbreviations at the start of the resource. However, typically, the symbol indicates equivalence. Example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_bar

Thank you for doing so. Since the reference is to καὶ and not δεκαοκτώ the expected result is to see a dictionary entry for καὶ.

I believe the equivalency for δεκαοκτώ is expressed with the combining of these three entries (1176+2532+3638) – DBL is not stating that each one of those entries are individually identical in meaning.

It seems to me that DBL Greek has additional issues similar to the reported issue of καὶ.

I just happened on this for ποιέω.

Incorrect index I believe.

Which would be better indexed to the following DBL #.

It's going to happen everywhere that the book indicates a Strongs number when the "real" definition is later in the book. The lookup only looks for the first instance.
