Windows 11 crashed due to the Microsoft update. (Fourth time in a year.)
When I downloaded Logos and tried to reinstall, it crashed before it created this folder:C:\users\jackh\AppData\Roaming\Logos
Any ideas? Recommended solutions?
After sfc /scannow fixed some corrupt files, the next try got a little farther:
I do. That directory contains these files.
It's stuck at Retry.[sigh]
Recommended solutions?
I am not a windows user and don't know the answer. For clarification, however: You should not be installing "Logos 10." You should be installing the newest engine, which is currently 31.3. Is that what you downloaded? See the desktop forum for links.
You are correct. I just hit the [Download] button on the Logos website.

Try steps at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008551751-Error-Writing-to-File
.
Tip: create software issues in the Logos Desktop Forum for better visibility.
Thanks, Dave, for both suggestions. When I tried again to install Logos, at the installation's error message I checked ownership of folders and files. All normal. [sigh]
The cure was the temporary workaround. I right-clicked on LogosSetup.exe, then clicked "Run as administrator." It installed OK and ran normally.
