I just want to know what type of resources work when reading your Bible and you can link it to verse as you scroll. It seems on mobile its only study Bible and commentaries. Does Monograph like ex Alfred Edersheim old and new testament books, do they also link to Bible and scroll as you read the Bible.

You're correct ... resources that Faithlife has inserted Bible 'milestones' ... generally Bibles, commentaries, and similar.

The desktop supplies additional methods ... ability to link lexicons and monographs/journals (using Cited By tool).

Periodically, there's a monograph, but FL has inserted Bible milestones to a section that can link to Bibles. So, it varies some.

    type of resources work

The resources that work are any resources that have a bible index. Some resource types require a bible index e.g. Bible, Bible commentaries, Study Bibles ... Look in a resource's information panel, indexes section for a bible index.

Is there a way to determine this in the store before buying a book? Sometimes I'm looking for a book on a specific topic and have multiple options, and this could help me make the decision on which one to buy.
