How do I use inline search to find words in brackets or quotes, and not that word without them?

You don't. Logos Search usually does not index brackets, quote marks and punctuation (such as periods and question marks). Instead of inline search you'd use Find (hit Ctrl-F to invoke it).

Brackets turn the search field red. I could not get that to work either.

I just checked and it worked very well for me, with round, square as well as curly brackets. The Find box turns red only when the character string input is not existing in the book EDIT or when I click forward beyond the last found instance, or backward before the first /EDIT - at least that's how it works for me (and should work). Can you share a screenshot, or at least give some detail on what text you want to find in which resource?

Thanks for the video, this is weird. I found the resource in my library and find works as expected:
You might type in the command reindex satanchafer and then select Reindex Satan from the Tools section of the suggestions - this will update the index of that book and hopefully make it work okay again.

As you pointed out, inline does not work.
Ctl-F did work if I went to the first page, and searched from there.
It does not wrap around, so when I was after the last instance, it turned red.
If I go to the beginning and search from there, I can sequence through.
After the last instance it turns red.
I would like to see a count of how many instances are found, but I do not.
So, though it does not work as I expected, it does work.
Thanx for you help.
