Having multiple note icons not showing in the bible pane.

They will appear if I use the selected text anchor option but that will not function on multiple bible versions.

Example passage with issue: Zechariah 14:1–4

Hi Mason - and welcome to the forums

Example passage with issue: Zechariah 14:1–4

That note is in the Notebook Topic References

Do you know if that notebook is enabled in your NKJV? If you don't know how to check that there are guidelines at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017978372-Notes-Tool#VisualFilters

Is there a note anchored to that passage reference or to that passage being selected as a section of text?
Unfortunately, I don't quite understand what I am seeing in your notes pane ...is the "Zechariah 14:1-4" just part of the larger text of the note and the note is actually anchored and attached to something different?

Also, is the notebook which contains that note enabled in the visual filters of the Bible you have open?  Note markers from Notebooks show in the Bible text iof the notebook is enabled in the visual filters list.

Here is a screenshot if I were to change it to a selected text anchor. It will show up now, but if I change bible versions it will not show because its anchored to the NKJV.

Let me know if this clarifies.

See my reply to Wolfgang SchneiderThe notebook is active and the icon will appear only if it is anchored by highlighting the verses with my cursor.

If I'm understanding correctly, I think you have to turn on Notes and Highlights (Corresponding) from the Visual Filters menu to see the note icons in other Bibles.

I do have notes enabled and most of my other note icons show up in other passages.

This isn't the case if the note is anchored to a reference - in that case, the notes icon should appear in all versified resources.

When you have a note anchored to a range of verses - and particularly when that includes the first verse in the chapter - the notes icon appears before the first verse. Your screenshot doesn't show that so I just wanted to check that wasn't the case here.

And I note you have the Bible text only visual filter enabled. This shouldn't affect how notes icons are displayed but, just to check, does anything change if you temporarily disable that?

Here are two screenshots. It does not show up even if I change it to only the first verse.

Ah yes, I remember now. The corresponding notes and highlights filter is necessary when the anchor is selected text and not references.

Verse anchors appear to work for most Bible versions. Anchors for particular words within a verse seem to need “Notes and Highlights (Corresponding)” selected, and if I understand correctly, this will only work for Bibles in which you have a reverse interlinear.

I also tried making a new note and put all of my anchors in again.

What happens is I get several passages in and another note icon will not show.

This time it is Matthew 24:40–41

What about Mt 24:37-39  (v37 not shown)

What Note is responsible for the anchor at Mt 24:42 (with note icon)?

In the screenshot, please show all relevant verses in NKJV and show the full Anchor section in the Notes tool.

The original End Time notes (from your screenshot) is based on a Note for Rev 3.10? What are the rest of the details i.e. note by selection in NKJV? What was selected?

How exactly did you duplicate these notes?

Mt 24:42 is an Anchor from a different Note? Is it a reference only or selected text?

    Ok I found the issue.

When you have an anchor, lets say as an example Revelation 6:1-2, and you go to add an anchor to the verse right after that for Revelation 6:3-4, the note icon will not appear for any anchor that continues on this trend. So if you went and did 5-6 & 7-8 you would still not get an icon.

The work-around I found was to only anchor the first verse instead of grouping them together.

Below is the screenshot of what I did as an example:

The work-around I found was to only anchor the first verse instead of grouping them together.

The NKJV pericopes convey the sense of several ranges, but only because you do not use a highlight style  However, the actual note Anchors don't convey your intent, so the problem needs to be fixed ASAP. You would be aware that a note icon will be created for an Anchor at, say, Rev 6:2 in a different Note.
