How to search: How many times Jesus predicted His resurrection? And how many times He predicted His death? TIA
I picked the bones** of the Factbook Search in "Resurrection of Jesus Christ" (at the end, under More).and came up with
term:(culture:"The Resurrection of Jesus" OR LSTO:"Jesus’ Resurrection" OR preachingTheme:"Jesus' Resurrection and Ascension" OR topic:"Resurrection of Jesus Christ"). Now we have to make sure Jesus is speaking:-
speaker:Jesus INTERSECTS term:(culture:"The Resurrection of Jesus" OR LSTO:"Jesus’ Resurrection" OR preachingTheme:"Jesus' Resurrection and Ascension" OR topic:"Resurrection of Jesus Christ" OR literaryTyping:"Passion-Prediction Saying").
The literaryTyping has more of the events that predict his death.
.
** The Factbook searches use ALL Search and contain lots of text phrases and alternative datatype terms that (I know) do not apply to Bibles.
It is interesting that the literary typing misses the Matthew 12:39-40 reference.
It also missed John 3:14
In response to the query, the person might reflect on various biblical passages or teachings they've encountered. They may consider conducting a thorough search through scripture, consulting religious texts, or seeking insights from religious leaders or scholars to accurately determine the number of times Jesus predicted His resurrection.
I think it probably misses this one because it does not reference His death directly. John is less clear to me.
The reason for the omission could be that both passages speak of his death but do not mention his resurrection, even though it is implied.
