It looks like it might be a counting error on web as the count shown doesn't match what is actually displayed (at least not in all cases)

For example, the filter shows 1 entry for Esther but the screenshot also shows 2 notes and a highlight in just a part of the book.

Thanks for that report. From memory, I think we calculate these numbers differently on web and desktop (it's a long story...), but they shouldn't be out by that much unless you have thousands of empty notes (i.e. notes with nothing in the "Take a note" section). I presume that's not the case?

We’re thrilled to announce the rollout of our sleek new resource toolbar design on app.logos.com

After gathering feedback and brainstorming ways to enhance user experience, we’re confident that this update will make navigating your books much easier than before. Our primary goal was to make the toolbar more intuitive, ensuring that every feature is easily accessible and understandable.

Here’s what you can expect from our revamped toolbar:

    1. Simplicity at its Best: We’ve simplified the layout and removed any clutter, so you can focus on what matters most - reading your books efficiently.
    2. Clear Visual Cues: Each button is carefully designed to represent its function, making it easier than ever to find the tool you need.
    3. Streamlined Navigation: Say goodbye to endless menus and submenus! With our new toolbar, everything you need is just a click away.

We’re committed to continuously improving your experience with our app. We’re planning to bring this new toolbar to the desktop app in the near future, so we’d love to hear your thoughts of it on the web app. It’s available to anyone using the web app right now!

Try out the new toolbar and let us know what you think in the Web App Forum. We can’t wait to hear your feedback!

Note: If you are in Limited View, you will not see this toolbar. You can change this in Settings.

I don't have it only I see this:"The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

    Blessings in Christ.

    Thanks Mark

And, no, not lots of empty notes!

But I think I know what is happening - in the web app the notes filter just counts notes by selection and not by reference.

Whereas on desktop it shows both.

    Is that intended?

What are you doing when you see this message?

To echo one of Dave's thoughts, it feels to me that having "Insights" at the top of the info sidebar is an oversight. In my view, "Insights" should change to "Info" when the info bar is open.

I just clicled on " app.logos.com! " and have got this.

True, the link given at the beginning of this thread doesn't work for me either. Try this link: https://app.logos.com

Or try searching Google for "Logos Web App."

I'll ask again: is this supposed to work in browsers on Android? It does not appear for me there, but it does on all Windows browsers I've used.

At this time, our mobile web version of the web app has limited functionality and as such we are using a limited version of the toolbar at this time. But it is something that we continue to look into.

In other words, no it is not expected to be present for browsers on Android.

Thanks for the new toolbar. I think it has potential but a few points of constructive criticism:

    • I find the "Reformat Text" menu confusing. First, maybe there is a typo but under Resource is it supposed to say "Bible text only" as it does in the desktop app. That would make more sense because when I click on that then most of the formating disappears except the actual text.
    • Sticking with "Reformat Text," when it's ported over to the desktop app, will there be two sub-menus: Reformat and Visual Filters? Now, in the desktop, all these particular options are under Visual Filters. But if we are used to calling them Visual Filters and now some or all of them go to Reformat, it could be confusing. In any case, I'll just mention that upon first glance, I found most parts of the new toolbar to be intuitive. I could find what I was looking for. Maybe it's just me, but I found the Reformat one confusing. And I wasn't sure where it might be going in future development.
    • Click on "Search" only to find "Find," which is actually a different function (CTRL + F) in the desktop app is also confusing. In the desktop app the wording is clearer.  Both the full Search Window and the Inline Search function have "Search" as the greyed out text in the search field before you start to type.  "Find" is reserved for the CTRL + F function. Please keep searches with searches and finds with finds. When someone starts using Logos it is hard enough to differentiate between the two, but now it is even more confusing.
    • The simple "Copy" command is not intuitive under "Share".  It doesn't bother me much because for Copy & Paste I just use keyboard shortcuts. But many people rely on the menus. Normally "Copy" is found under an edit menu in a program. I realize Logos is different in that resources are not editable by the user.  But if a user is looking for the "Copy" function I can't imagine they would go looking under "Share." Copy link, yes, but not simple Copy.

That's all for now. Thanks for your work.

The current beta of Logos 34.0 on desktop is also introducing these changes - so the web app is consistent with the next stable release (due in about five weeks time). On desktop, the visual filter menu now has these sections

If I open the Notes filter in the Notes menu, there is a count of notes at the top as expected

If I turn off the Notes Filter, that count persists whereas I would have expected that line to be closed

It even persists if I select another menu - by which time there is no context for what it means.

I am finding Chrome (on Windows) really struggling with the web app with nearly everything I do with the new toolbar resulting in an error. Edge seems much more able to handle it.

I understand that translation from English is not supported - but would it be better to not show the Translate button (or at least grey it out) in this case?

With the Share menu open, if I select a portion of text to enable the Copy button the Selection menu pops up, also with a Copy option.

As far as I can see, there is no option to disable the Selection menu in the web app - how are these intended to co-exist?

I did some testing on my Android devices and while the new web version did not show up on my phone, it did show up on my tablet. I’m guessing that this is due to the version of Android on my tablet being optimized for a more “laptop device” type experience?

Something like this should be implemented in the desktop as well. I like it!

Hopefully implemented as an option, even if the default - leaving an option for the "Classic" toolbar would be beneficial for those who prefer it.

And I should, from the same menu, be able to view the Multiple Bible Versions (Text Compare) display.

The multiview option (only available in desktop) is planned to go in the View tab, but that's different from the Text Comparison tool.

Thank you for the reply Mark.

I do understand that the Multiview and Text Compare tools are different. Since the web app does not have the multiview tool I was considering the text compare to be a somewhat functional equivalent option to be able to "View" multiple bibles in one pane.

    Keep up the good work!

First - I really like it.

Second - When I click on notes filter, my bible notes aren't showing at all (screenshot).
